An essential oil farm in Western Australia – The Paperbark Co.

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

We love the bright side of life! So don’t be surprised that in the winter issue of AROMATIKA we walk further the lands of summer in Australia! We wish to share with you more about the unique Western Australian essential oils – Fragonia®, Honey Myrtle, and Australian Sandalwood Oil - being exclusively produced by The Paperbark Co. This family-run business also distills other incredible essential oils and hydrosols such as Rosalina, Tea Tree and Manuka.

We are welcomed by Lisa Day who has been managing The Paperbark Co. since 2014. She is the daughter of John and Peta Day, founders of the company specialising in growing, steam distilling, and marketing Australian essential oils and hydrosols. In this comprehensive article Lisa introduces us into the story of their lands and distillery, starting in 1997, when her parents purchased a 64-hectare farm located in a belt of wetlands near Harvey, south of Perth in Western Australia.

We are feeling absolutely blessed to have so much insider information in this article, including some profile overviews of the genuine oils that Lisa and the Days are offering to the world! Please find them in the winter edition of AROMATIKA Magazine. Subscribe or download is available via our shop.
